Training Centers

Now that you are a CPR instructor, how are you affiliated with a training center? The Beating Heart Center is a training center for most of the four accredited training brands. When you take an instructor course, the easiest thing is to affiliate with the training center that provides your training. Suppose you want to start your training center. In that case, you must decide which CPR brand you would like to set up your training center under because the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Health and Safety Institute, and National Safety Council have different ways to set up their affiliations.

American Heart Association:

To set up a Training center with the AHA, you must first affiliate with a local training center. You will need to become an Instructor Trainer to provide instructor courses, which qualifies you to become a Training Faculty member. After acquiring an instructor Trainer certification, you will need at least five other affiliated instructors to move to the Training Site under your current Training Center. You can apply for Training Center status after four years as a training site. AHA is the most complicated of the four brands.

American Red Cross:

All instructors are affiliated with the American Red Cross, but you can sign an agreement as an organization to teach Red Cross materials. Other companies can assign your instructor status to other companies.

Health and Safety Institute:

The minimum requirement to become a Health and Safety Institute Training Center is to fill out a Training Center application, purchase the course materials you plan to teach, and have at least one affiliated instructor qualified to teach the course.

National Safety Institute:

To become a certified training center, you must complete an application with your credentials and submit it for approval. Once you receive approval to become a National Safety Institute Training Center, you can purchase all necessary materials for teaching their courses.
