Description
YMCA Certification program for YMCA Employees. The class covers the requirement for Basic CPR and First Aid for all YMCA employees & members.
This course contains the same instruction sets as the CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combination comprehensive training course includes adults, children and infants. The program helps develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. This course includes choking, heart conditions, and caring for a variety of wounds. The course will teach you to understand how to handle emergencies in many different environments. The duration of the traditional course is approximately 6 hours. This course is for anyone seeking to gain proficiency is handling multiple situations in an emergency. This combination training is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and is consistent with recommendations of the 2020 National First Aid Science Advisory Board and OSHA’s best practices for first aid training programs in the workplace.
How Remote Skills Verification works:
When you purchase the CPR/AED RSV, we will send the video link to your email, and another link to schedule you skill assessment within the same link. When enroll in the RSV program we will send the equipment to your door while you work on the course online. You have the luxury to pre-schedule your skill assessment at your earliest convenience. On you scheduled day you will need a computer with a camera and microphone to interact with the instructor online. Upon completion the equipment will have a return label and once we get notice of the manikin being shipped back we will send out your certification.

Successful completion (certification)
- Written evaluation: Required when specified by organizational, local, or state regulation. It is recommended for designated responders with a duty or employer expectation to respond in an emergency and provide first aid care.
- Performance evaluation: All students must perform required skills competently without assistance.
