Description

  • American Heart Association AHA
  • American Red Cross ARC
  • Health and Safety Institute HSI
  • National Safety Council NSC

The Beating Heart Center is a certified training center for any of the CPR brands and we can certify you as an instructor through one or all the brands you prefer to train your students.

The Process to become a CPR Instructor:

Training you to become a CPR instructor is a simple process.  The first requirement is to have taken at least one CPR/AED provider course from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Health and Safety Institute or National Safety Council.  With a CPR provider certificate, you are eligible to take the Instructor Development course. Once you have completed the Instructor Development course, you will be a certified instructor.

How The Beating Heart Center Trains their instructors.

The Instructor Development Course is provided in a hybrid setting.  We send the academic portion of the class to your email to get started.  Once the course is completed then the instructor candidate will meet with a master instructor to test their skills as an instructor.  This is where we place a subject and have the instructor candidate teach the subject to their peers.  We will have the new instructor candidate work with an experienced instructor in conducting a class.  The last thing we do is orient the instructor on how the training portals they use work to set up their classes.  To help new accredited instructors we like to do the mentorship program to improve and increase confidence for new instructor to teach regular classes in their specific certification.

How does being a CPR instructor benefit you?

Most people believe that a CPR instructor is what you learn from a PE coach in school, or health class.  There are many professionals that are CPR instructor certified.  As a CPR instructor you can be a reliable asset for the company you work for to help make sure those that require certifications could be certified by you.  Another option is being an independent CPR instructor where you can work as a freelancer or start your own business as a CPR instructor.  The possibilities are endless and as a CPR and First Aid instructor you are helping to make this world a little safer. As we have mentioned being a CPR instructor is just the beginning. The more medical training and certification you have the more complex and advance training you can provide as an instructor.  There is CPR, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support which are the three advance levels of training you can provide as an instructor. As an independent or business owner you can set your prices to teach these classes for groups, communities or government agencies.

Where can you get your training?

The Beating Heart Center has offices all over the country.  We can come to you, or you can come to one of our offices in every major city.  We like to make the Instructor Development Course convenient and helpful for you.  If you have the passion of knowing how to save lives and then teaching others, being a CPR instructor could be right for you.
