Emergency Medical Responders (EMR)

EMR course is for those looking for an entry-level to EMS program. The EMR is the first level before becoming an EMT. This EMR program is to provide medical training for people that do not have a strong medical background.

The EMR course is a prerequisite for those seeking employment as a firefighter, law enforcement, or open water lifeguard programs. The training will prepare you for a variety of medical and trauma emergencies. Learn how to manage disaster areas and stabilize the injured until the EMT/Paramedics can transport to a hospital. Upon completing this course, the EMR provider will be eligible to challenge the National Emergency Medical Responder Certificate.

The Beating Heart Center EMR program is accredited through the American Red Cross, Health and Safety Institute, and the National Safety Council. We meet and exceed the national EMR standards.
